Announcing The Whickers Film & TV Funding Award Finalists 2018
We are delighted to announce our 2018 Film & TV Funding Award finalists!
From a Chinese plastic surgeon and self-proclaimed performance artist, to a Catalan cyber activist fighting wealth inequality, to a Japanese village on the brink of extinction – take a look at the five projects in the running to win our coveted annual Funding Award.
The finalists were selected by a judging panel of documentary commissioners, international distributors and filmmakers, and will present their projects at The Whickers Pitch at 2.30pm on Tuesday 12 June at Sheffield Doc/Fest. The winner will receive £80,000 towards the making of their film, and a runner-up will be given £15,000. We look forward to seeing you there!
