How will Brexit impact the documentary industry? Have your say in Parliament

Do you produce, fund or broadcast documentaries? Worried about the post-Brexit backlash on the documentary industry? We want to hear from you.

Whicker’s World Foundation have teamed up with Sheffield Documentary Festival and the European Documentary Network to take the concerns of the documentary professionals to parliament.

In 2014 and 2015 alone, Creative Europe invested over €40 million in the British creative industries.  Support from Creative Europe provides crucial funding for the Sheffield Doc/Fest Meet Market and BRITDOC, for example, as well as for documentary development and production. In our 2016 survey on the Cost of Making a Documentary in Today’s Market we found that 87% of filmmakers felt they were already underpaid. So how will Brexit really impact documentary? The Culture Media and Sport Committee want to hear from all interested parties – be it production companies, universities and film schools, documentary festivals or broadcasters.
